The majority owner of Eki Transfers d.o.o. is the company “C&C Varvias Holding S.A.” established and with its registered office in Greece, whose majority member is Konstantinos Varvias, who has also been the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Director of the Greek payment institution World Bridge – Payment Institution SA, licensed and supervised by the Bank of Greece and Principal Agent of Western Union for Greece since 1992.

• WE HAVE BEEN THE FIRST PROVIDER OF WESTERN UNION SERVICES ON THE TERRITORY OF SERBIA AND MONTENEGRO

Since 2001, Eki Transfers has been providing Western Union money transfer service in the territories of Serbia and Montenegro, as the first Western Union Agent under the Agreement on International Representation. As the first provider of Western Union services with its quality work, it contributed to the expansion of the Western Union brand and enhancement of customer trust in the Western Union service in Serbia and Montenegro.

• ON 20.11.2014 WE ESTABLISHED MONTENEGRO TRANSFERS DOO PODGORICA

On 20th November, 2014, as the holder of 100% share, Eki Transfers established its limited liability company MONTENEGRO TRANSFERS DOO PODGORICA which was registered in the Central Register of Business Entities in Montenegro on 25th November, 2014.

• REGISTERED THE FIRST PAYMENT INSTITUTION IN THE TERRITORY OF MONTENEGRO

On 26th March, 2015, the Central Bank of Montenegro issued an authorization for the provision of payment services to the payment institution MONTENEGRO TRANSFERS doo, based in Podgorica, for the provision of payment services for execution of remittances. In order to ensure continuity in executing remittances through the Western Union system and aligning with the Law on Payment Transactions, the Montenegro Transfers Payment Institution becomes a Western Union Agent for Montenegro.

• ON 28.09.2015 EKI TRANSFERS BECAME ONE OF THE FIRST BUSINESS ENTITIES TO OBTAIN THE LICENCE FOR THE PROVISION OF PAYMENT SERVICES – IN THE CAPACITY OF A PAYMENT INSTITUTION

At the beginning of the implementation of the Payment Services Act – the National Bank of Serbia granted the first licences for the provision of payment services. The Executive Board of NBS at a session held on 28th September 2015, made a decision that companies, including EKI TRANSFERS DOO BEOGRAD, were granted a licence for provision of payment services, effective as of 1st October 2015 with the implementation of the Payment Services Act (“Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia” No. 139/2014). By the Decision of the National Bank of Serbia IO NBS No. 84 dated 28.09.2015 Eki Transfers as a payment institution continued to provide Western Union fast money transfer service – money remittance.

• ON 13.10.2016 NBS ISSUED THE AMENDMENT OF THE LICENCE FOR PROVIDING PAYMENT SERVICES

By the Decision of the National Bank of Serbia IO NBS no. 77 dated 13.10. 2010, a payment institution request for the amendment of the payment service provision was adopted. Eki Transfers doo Beograd can also provide payment services for transferring funds from the payment account to a payment account, such as: (1) credit transfer, (2) direct debit, including one-time direct debit, (3) using a payment card or similar means of payment.

• EKI TRANSFERS OPERATES THROUGH A NETWORK OF REPRESENTATIVES ON THE ENTIRE TERRITORY OF SERBIA

By registration of the representatives in the Register of Payment Institutions, our representatives provide payment services at locations throughout Serbia. Payment service money remittance – electronic money transfer – receiving and sending via Western Union system is provided through our representatives – 16 banks with over 1075 locations and over 300 authorized exchange offices and other retail outlets with 400 locations. The payment service of the transfer of funds from the payment account, i.e. into the payment account (payment of bills), is currently provided by 75 representatives – authorized exchange offices and other retail outlets with 100 locations.
